Top Five Favorite Disney Movies

Disney movies are some of my favorite films to watch. The classics and even the latest films from Disney are enjoyable and entertaining.  The plots of these stories are amazing and unique in their own way. Below is a list of my top five Disney movies.

1. Sleeping Beauty

This film is about  Princess Aurora. She has a curse put on her by a bad fairy named, Malificent. To save her from the curse becoming true, Aurora's guardian fairies take her to a cottage. They keep her there until her 16th birthday. On her 16th birthday, the fairies send her off to find flowers and this is when she meets Prince Phillip. When she returns to the cottage, she finds out her true identity. The fairies then return her to the castle, where the curse from Malificent takes place. Prince Phillip wakes her with true loves kiss. The movie ends with Aurora and Phillip dancing.


2. The Lion King

The Lion King is about a cub/lion named Simba, the heir to the king and his father, Mufasa. Simba's uncle, Scar, plots a plan to take over the kingdom and get rid of Mufasa and Simba. The result is Simba escapes and Mufasa's killed. Many years pass, Simba is now living a life with his friends, Timon and Pumbaa. Simba soon returns back to his homeland to dual his uncle for the Pride Rock with help from Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa.

3. Cinderella

This movie is a film about a girl named, Cinderella. After her father dies, she's left in the hands of her cruel step-mother. The step-mother and step-sisters treat her as the servant. An invitation to the palace ball is the thing she needed to lift her spirit. To keep her from going to the ball, her stepmother and stepsisters keep her busy and even ruin her dress. She able to go to the ball because of her fairy-godmother. While at the ball she dances with the prince and falls in loves. Cinderella leaves the ball at midnight and loses one of her glass slippers. The prince then sends out his men to look for the girl from the ball. In the end, Cinderella and the prince end up together. 


4. Beauty and the Beast

A movie about a girl named, Belle. Her father goes off to show off his latest invention and gets lost. Belle goes to search for him and finds him in a haunted castle. There she meets the Beast and trades places with her father. While there she befriends the castles enchanted workers. Belle learns to fall in love with the beast and breaks the enchantment on the castle.


5.  The Little Mermaid

About a mermaid named Ariel, whose fascinated with the land.  On one of her adventures to the land, Ariel falls in love with a prince named, Eric. Soon, she makes a deal with the sea witch, Ursula to be with her love. She's given three days to get him to kiss her, but things go wrong and she has to fight Ursula to make it right. Her father ends up giving her legs at the end so she can end up with Eric.
