Top Six Favorite Music Artists

Music is an important part of entertainment around the world. Everyone has a particular artist or artists that they enjoy. Here are my top six favorite singers/groups:

1.  Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is an American actress and singer. She is from Texas and started out her acting and singing career on Barney and then went on to the Disney Channel. Demi has gone on to be one of today's well-known artist. She has six albums named: Don't Forget (2008), Here We Go Again (2009), Unbroken (2011), Demi (2013), Confident (2015), and Tell Me You Love Me (2017). Her voice has grown a lot in past decade. I look forward to the music she puts out in the upcoming years. 

2. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift, an American artist who is from Nashville, started singing at a young age. Taylor is a very well-known artist.  She continues to blow America away with her songwriting ability and singing. Taylor has six albums: Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), and she recently released album Reputation (2017). Her music style has developed over the last decade. She went from country to pure pop music. I can't wait to see what she will do with her career in the upcoming years. 

3. Selena Gomez

 Selena Gomez, an actor and singer, is very well-known for her time on Disney Channel. While acting with the Disney Channel, she started making albums. She is very talented. She continues to develop her style that she intends to portray with her music. She has three albums with her band, the Scene. Those albums are Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011). She then went on to do three solo albums which are Star Dance (2013), For You (2014), and Revival (2015). I look forward to seeing what she does in the future. 

                                                       

4. Little Mix

Little Mix is an all-girls group, who have been hitting the charts in the last five years.  They first became known through a competition called the X-Factor in Europe.  Members of the group are Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. The girl group has four albums right now, which are DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015), and Glory Days (2016). It's rumored that they will release another album later this year. I look forward to hearing their upcoming music.

5. Calum Scott

Calum Scott is a British singer and songwriter. He won Britain's Got Talent in 2015. He recently released his first album called Only Human (2018). He remade a song on the Dirty Dancing (2017) remake soundtrack. I look forward to seeing this artist grow in his music. 

6. Pentatonix

Pentatonix is an acapella singing group, who became popular through their youtube channel. This group has five members in it. Their names are Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirsten Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. A former member of the group was Avi Kaplan. This group has released many cover albums. The albums consist of many genres and songs from different decades. They also have three Christmas albums. The group only has one original music album called Pentatonix.  I look forward to hearing more of their music in the upcoming years.
